So here is QuickPop in all it's glory. If you need more info, please do not hesitate to contact me. Being that this is a newly released application, there is not much in the way of reviews. I know it's a crazy world out there, but all I can give you is my word that this application is not out to harm you or your beloved computer in any way, shape or form. Of course, I still must make you aware that if anything unexpected should come about, I am not responsible, though I will feel thoroughly saddened.

It would be a good idea to include a shortcut to this application in the startup directory. Unfortunately, my setup package skills are lacking at the moment, so this part will need to be done manually for the time being. It's a one shot deal though.
As a side note, I have received reports that the "options" window (specifically the Shortcut area) acts strangely in some cases. In most cases, this is due to a missing windows DLL that this application makes use of. I have taken the liberty of providing the fix here (you'll need to reboot).
Great I Installed it. Now what am I looking at??
Nothing yet. First run the application by going to start -> all programs -> QuickPop . Ok now you should see an icon that looks like a yellow star as seen on this webpage in your system tray (bottom right usually).
Left click it. This is your clipboard history. Try copying some text and left click the icon again. Whatever you copied should appear. Clicking on any text in the menu will set that text ready to be pasted. Easy enough?
Right click it. This is your shortcut/other menu. Try going to options and adding some programs (type in the item information in the boxes provided or drag the executable into the box). The clipboard tab will provide you with clipboard related options.
Where's the Help/FAQ for this nifty utility?
There is none... yet. I plan on getting something out there soon. Even faster if you pester me (really). If you have any questions, do feel free to contact me.
I see my text being shown in the saver; what about images, files, etc?
Sorry. At this time, QuickPop only "listens" to plain text. Sometimes this is a good thing since images tend to take up a lot of "in use" memory. Speaking of which, there is no current limit on the size of the text copied. So an extremely large copy will remain in QuickPop's memory until either it moves out of history or you clear it through the options window. Of course "large copies" are relative to the brawn of your computer - specifically RAM. Be mindful of this. Generally though, even a few million copied characters shouldn't cause any noticeable differences.
QuickPop is also an excellent way to convert formatted rich text to good ol' plain text (Microsoft Word can be annoying): simply copy the text, left click the QuickPop icon, and choose the top choice (your text). Then paste - Bingo!
Cool. How about storing more history?
Sure. Check the options (right click -> options -> clipboard tab). "Clip History" is the number of 'clips' to store - "Clip Length" is the maximum length of the text to show in the pop-up. The Hotkey configuration is there as well. Simply choose the text-box and then press your desired key combination. Then Register Hot Keys.
I'm really not computer saavy. Is this application for me?
To be completely honest, this utility was designed for the more saavy computer user. In many cases, this utility will not be helpful to the casual computer user. Nonetheless, if you're curious - by all means! It can't hurt.
I hate it. How do I uninstall this thing?
Sorry you feel that way. Should you feel the unreasonable urge to uninstall this beauty, you can do so through the "Add/Remove Programs" feature in your control panel. For those of you who prefer cleanliness on your computer, the application does store information in the registry to remember your settings. Location: HKCU/Software/QuickPop . If this does not make sense to you, please leave this alone as playing with the registry is not for the faint of heart.
And again, feel free to drop me a line. Good or bad - I can take it.
